  3.                   THE AMUG BULLETIN BOARD SERVICE

  5.         This BBS is for the purpose of allowing AMUG members to 
  6. exchange information and ideas with each other. Club members may ask
  7. questions and post new ideas and answers to problems in our many 
  8. message sections. Our primary goal for this BBS is to help educate our
  9. membership and provide technical assistance.
  10.          Access to this BBS requires AMUG membership as a pre-requisite.
  11. Membership is currently $39.00 and may be paid as shown below.

  13.                   How to become a validated User.
  14.  
  15.      In order to become a validated user send mail to the SYSOP
  16. using the <S>end command in the validation section. 
  17.      
  18.      If you are a member of the Arizona Macintosh Users Group, then leave 
  19. your membership number along with name address and phone. I will validate
  20. you as soon as I can verify the information. If there is a problem I will
  21. send you mail. You can read it by using the <R>ead command. So check back 
  22. periodically.

  24.       If you are not a member of AMUG, you may join at our monthly
  25. meetings or by sending $39.00 to AMUG at 718 E. Campbell Ave.,
  26. Gilbert, AZ 85234. This $39.00 will allow you access to the AMUG BBS 
  27. for a period of one year.

  29.                      About the AMUG System
  30.  
  31.     This BBS is operated on a Macintosh Plus with a GIGABYTE of disk storage.
  32. The modem operates at 300, 1200, 2400 and 9600 baud. Access is 24 hours 
  33. a day  except when being updated. This BBS is updated regularly in order to
  34. provide the users with the latest information.
  35.  
  36.     Several message bases exist for General Mac Posts, News and Items for
  37. sale along with a Private Mail section.In addition, several Special 
  38. Interest Group (SIG's) area are available. Also, eighteen (18) file 
  39. categories presently exist. The software being used is Red Ryder 
  40. Host version 2.1a.
